Photo sessions - questions & answers

Ultimately, I like to ensure that your pet(s) will be comfortable throughout, and that you as the owner are equally as comfortable, whether as part of the photo-session or not.

What can I expect at my photo-session?
 

My goal is to capture relaxed and candid images of your four-legged friend in their natural environment, so my sessions are casual and customised to your pet’s personality. I want your pet to be as they always are, doing what makes them happy. Before I start photographing, I’ll spend time getting to know your pet, so they feel comfortable around me and the camera.

Where will the photo-session take place?
 

I am an on-location, natural-light photographer, so I come to you or we meet at a pre-arranged location — there is no studio, backdrop or props. I want your pet to be comfortable so their true self can show to their best advantage, and this often works best at a location they are familiar with — your home, or a favourite place, etc. A spot that is meaningful to you also creates great photographic memories. 

If I am familiar with your area, I can recommend a location that will work well with your dog’s temperament, breed and colouring,
as well as the style you are looking for (ie. urban or natural setting).

All cats are photographed in your home or garden.

What if my dog can’t go off the lead?

No problem! We can still get amazing images! I can arrange to remove the dog's leash from the images during the post-processing process.

What happens if it rains?
 

I’ll keep in touch with you leading up to our session day. If it looks like rain or unsuitable weather - ie too hot, we will reschedule to the next available date that is convenient for you.

Do you photograph all year round?

Yes! Spring, summer, autumn and winter months each provide their own unique backgrounds.

Will you take photos of me with my pet?
 

Absolutely! I love including people, since the bond between pet and owner is so strong.
My portraits are contemporary in style and the focus will always be on your four-legged friend.

What happens after the session?
 

Your images will be ready for viewing up to one week after our session. I will create contact sheets with the best images and email them via Wetransfer..

Are digital files included?

Yes. I provide digital images both in colour + black & white.

Why should I choose custom photography? It seems so expensive.

There are several reasons to go the custom route and ultimately it’s a personal choice. But think of it this way: Pets are cherished family members and sadly, they are with us for a much shorter time than we would like. Custom photography provides a personalized experience and gives you keepsakes of special moments that will last a lifetime.

All photography sessions are undertaken by myself only, ensuring your pet will be treat with the respect, patience and affection they deserve.

You don't have to wait to be given a pet voucher or for your birthday or Christmas time, your dog or cat may deserve a beautiful photograph of themselves for you to admire. Have a look at the various options for your pet to encounter as detailed below.

Package 1: Home photo session (Dogs, cats)

The photo-session will take place in and around your own home/garden with the resulting images having a real sentimental attachment to the pet's favourite places.  This session is often suitable for house cats or house rabbits or elderly dog enjoying the later stages of life.

Package 2: Home and Walk photo session (Dogs)

The photo-session will initially begin in the home and then pursue the trail of their favourite walk routine whether it be in the neighbourhood or your local dog friendly location.  This can be discussed in advance of the pet photo session but will give your images a sentimental value of the everyday scenes they are so familiar with.

Package 3: Beach/Water photo session (Dogs)

One of the most popular sessions - and please don't expect your dog to return home in an immaculate condition!  
Some dogs just love the thrill of sand and water or the chasing of a favourite toy along dunes and shorelines.

Package 4: Dogs in the Dune’s photo session

Let your dog loose in the dunes, get that feeling of space all around.
If this is the case our Dune session is for your pet.

Options for vouchers start at AED500.00 for a photo session. Credit can be added to vouchers which can go towards a stunning piece of wall art for the home or a beautifully designed and produced album. Please call us to discuss the tailored options available.

Vouchers are valid for 12 months. Sessions are available in Dubai, and are available every day of the week by appointment.

Following the session the best images are selected and contact sheets are provided for you to make your selection of final images, either for high resolution images suitable for wall art or a selection of images for your own personal social media use.
